Discovering Health Care Career Paths: A Successful Fair for Students in Southern California

Students Receive Benefits from Health Care Professions and Majors Fair

The Health Education Pathways Program recently hosted a fair in the Titan Student Union Pavilion on March 12, introducing students to a variety of professional fields and job opportunities in health care and behavioral health care. Over 250 students attended, including CSUF students, community college students, and high school students from Anaheim Union High School District and Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.

The fair included fifteen professional organizations, many of which are major employers of CSUF graduates and well-known in Southern California. These organizations included Orange County Health Care Agency, Hoag Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and more. Additionally, CSUF departments such as Aging Studies, Biological Science, Counseling, Kinesiology, Nursing, and Social Work were represented at the event.

Students who attended reported that they found the event beneficial in learning about the professional fields within health care and the educational pathways to enter those fields.
