Eddie Goldman’s Journey with the Falcons: A Fresh Start and Uncertain Future

Eddie Goldman set to make a comeback with the Falcons

In July 2022, defensive tackle Eddie Goldman signed with the Falcons but retired shortly after. He returned to the active roster in March of the same year before leaving once again in July without playing a game for them. However, it seems that the team is not ready to let go of Goldman just yet as he is expected to sign a new deal with them.

Goldman’s most recent on-field action was during the 2021 season with the Bears, where he appeared in 14 games and recorded 22 tackles and a half-sack. He opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID, meaning those appearances are his only recent playing time. Throughout his career, Goldman has amassed 175 tackles, 13 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.

Despite his recent absence from the field, Goldman’s skill and potential are evident. The upcoming new deal signifies a fresh start for Goldman with the team, and fans will be eager to see how he performs in the upcoming season. With his impressive track record and talent on display, there is no doubt that Goldman will be an asset to the Falcons as they look to make a statement in the NFL this season.
