Educating the Future: Beulah Academy of Science FFA Chapter’s Inaugural ‘Future Farmer Field Day’ Brings Awareness to Local Agriculture

Beulah Academy of Science FFA Hosts Successful Future Farmer Field Day with Hundreds in Attendance

The Beulah Academy of Science FFA Chapter recently organized their first “Future Farmer Field Day” advocacy day program to raise awareness about the various industries and types of agricultural production in the local area. Educator Allie Eubanks highlighted the importance of bringing attention to this crucial aspect of our community.

The event welcomed fourth grade students from Cordova Park Elementary, local homeschool cooperatives, and incoming fifth graders from eight different elementary schools. Almost 20 different vendor booths were set up by BAS FFA to educate students about agriculture and its role in our community. Organizations such as the Florida Forest Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and local farmers showcased their products and services to attendees.

Eubanks expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event’s first year and invited attendees to participate again next year. The day was filled with learning opportunities and interactive experiences for students to engage with the agricultural community.
