Exploring the Wonders of Science and Nature at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown

Opening Date Announced for Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown

The Da Vinci Science Center, a new 67,000-square foot facility located at Eighth and Hamilton streets in Allentown, is set to open on May 22. After nearly two years of construction, the center will offer interactive experiences for visitors to explore the inner workings of the human body and get an up-close visit with North American River Otters in the Pocono Ravine.

The City Center Gallery, an 8,000-square foot space within the center, will feature the first exhibit titled “Dinos Alive!”, focusing on dinosaurs. In addition to the exhibits, the center will also have classrooms, laboratories, and interactive workshops for visitors to enjoy and learn from. Executive Director and CEO Lin Erickson expressed excitement about welcoming the community to the Lehigh Valley’s new premier science center. The center’s mission is to bring science to life and lives to science, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s insatiable curiosity.

As part of the move from its current location at Cedar Crest College, tickets for the new center will go on sale in mid-April. More information about the center and its offerings can be found on their website at davincisciencecenter.org. Years of planning and hard work have led to this exciting new scientific experience in Allentown.
