Family Ties Unite: Double D’s Floor Business in Lancaster Brings Cousins and Parents Together

Double D’s: Lancaster Cousins Launch New Flooring Business

Derrick Schneider and Dillon Pinkstock, who are cousins, have opened Double D’s flooring business in Lancaster. The business is located at 706 W. Wheeling St., which used to be a church with a sanctuary that they converted into their warehouse. Their parents, Misty and Greg Pinkstock, were the owners of Country Carpets on Cedar Hill Road for years before deciding to open this new venture.

The cousins wanted to start a family business so they could spend time with their children and work together for the long term. They began working together in the spring of the previous year and eventually created Double D’s. The building was suitable for their needs, and they made some improvements to it before opening their doors. Double D’s is currently open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, but there are plans to potentially extend hours in the future, including Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and possibly staying open later during one weeknight.
