Rebeca Andrade to Make Debut at 2024 FIG World Challenge Cup in Antalya, Turkey

Rebeca Andrade, Brazil’s most decorated gymnast ever, is set to make her Olympic season debut at the World Challenge Cup in Antalya, Turkey on Friday (29 March). The 24-year-old will be competing on the uneven bars, with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games just around the corner.

Andrade has had a remarkable career so far, with numerous accomplishments to her name. She won vault gold and all-around silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021 and followed up with a gold in the 2022 World all-around competition. She also won a five-medal haul at the 2023 Worlds.

Joining Andrade in Antalya will be other gymnastics stars such as Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands, who won balance beam gold at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016. Kaylia Nemour of Algeria also won uneven bars silver at the Tokyo Olympics in 2016 and Melanie de Jesus dos Santos of France won team bronze medals at both world championships in 1995 and 1997.

Andrade’s Brazilian teammates Flavia Saraiva, Lorrane Oliveira, and Jade Barbosa will also be competing. All three are medal winners, with Saraiva winning vault bronze at Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016 and Barbosa winning uneven bars bronze at Tokyo Olympics in 2016.
