Legendary NFL Player Steve McMichael Hospitalized Amidst Battle with ALS

Steve McMichael, the legendary defensive tackle who was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, has been hospitalized this week. The news was confirmed by his former teammate Walter Payton’s son, Jarrett Payton.

McMichael, who is 66 years old and has been battling ALS, had previously spent over a week in the hospital in February due to multiple ailments. Despite his health struggles, McMichael remains a beloved figure among Bears fans for his contributions to the legendary 1985 Bears defense. He played 13 seasons with the Bears before spending his final NFL season with the Green Bay Packers.

In April of this year, McMichael was finally voted into the Hall of Fame as a senior finalist. The football world is rooting for McMichael’s recovery as he continues to face health challenges.
