New COO, Lori Gravelle, Joins Greater Seacoast Community Health

Lori Gravelle has recently been appointed as the new chief operations officer of Greater Seacoast Community Health. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role. Gravelle has worked at community health centers like Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth and Families First Health and Support Center in Portsmouth, gaining valuable experience that will benefit Greater Seacoast.

In her previous role as director of compliance, quality, and risk management for a New Mexico community health center, Gravelle gained valuable experience that will be beneficial to Greater Seacoast. She has also worked as a physician practice compliance and credentialing officer and as vice president for risk management and compliance for a large network of community health centers in upstate New York.

Gravelle holds a master’s in business administration in healthcare management from Western Governors University and a graduate certificate in healthcare corporate compliance from George Washington University. She is passionate about improving access to high-quality care for rural, underserved, and vulnerable populations, as well as developing the healthcare workforce.

With the previous COO, Jim Avrett, now serving as the organization’s chief executive officer, Gravelle is excited to join the team at Greater Seacoast. Avrett expressed his enthusiasm for her appointment, citing her knowledge, experience, and impressive skills that will be crucial to the organization’s success. Gravelle has already made a positive impact on the organization’s operations and culture, demonstrating her commitment to advancing Greater Seacoast Community Health’s mission.
