NBA Investigating Jontay Porter of the Raptors for Betting Irregularities: Report

The NBA is investigating Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter for suspected betting irregularities, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Porter was withheld from the lineup for the Raptors’ matchup against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, and it remains uncertain how long he will be out.

Porter played just three minutes before being ruled out due to illness, registering no points, two rebounds, and one missed shot. Once again, all prop bet categories hit under for Porter that night through DraftKings Sportsbook.

Porter did not participate in the Raptors’ game against the Washington Wizards over the weekend or versus the Nets due to personal reasons. NBA regulations strictly prohibit players and all league employees from betting on any NBA games or engaging in any form of prop betting.

Jontay Porter is currently in his debut season with the Raptors on a two-way contract. He has averaged 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 26 games this season. Porter made his NBA debut with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2020 but did not play in the league for
