Laredo Health Department recommends getting vaccinated for respiratory illnesses

With the end of the peak season for respiratory illnesses in sight, the Laredo Health Department is urging the community to stay vigilant. While flu and other infections are currently at low levels in the area, it is crucial to stay up to date with vaccines to protect yourself and those around you.

Jaime Perez from the Laredo Health Department emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated to prevent illness. Currently, there have been over 500 cases of flu registered in the city, highlighting the need for continued vigilance. The RSV vaccine, recommended for children aged 0 to 24 months, will be available until the end of the month. The flu vaccine, available for both adults and children, will be available until June 30th.
