The Jets and Corey Davis: A Tale of Promise and Reunion in the NFL

Corey Davis in talks with Jets for potential reunion

Corey Davis spent the first four years of his career with the Tennessee Titans before signing with the Jets in 2021. During his time in New York, Davis showed promise as a valuable weapon in the offense, recording 66 receptions for 1,028 yards and six touchdowns. However, he was released by the Jets in March.

Now, the team is discussing the potential of reuniting with Davis. Robert Saleh mentioned that the team is in regular contact with him and their door is always open to him. This news was reported by SNY’s Connor Hughes who stated that the Jets are interested in bringing Davis back, which would be beneficial for their wide receiving corps.

If he rejoins the Jets, Davis could provide them with a strong receiving group alongside Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams. The 6-foot-3 wideout took a break from the NFL last August but recently applied for reinstatement, allowing him to potentially make a return to the field. If he does return, it will be interesting to see how he performs and contributes to the team’s offense once again.
