UCI Health Expands with Acquisition of Tenet’s Pacific Coast Network: Four Southern California Hospitals Now Part of UCI Health

UCI Health finalizes purchase of four Tenet hospitals

UCI Health, located in Orange, Calif., recently finalized the acquisition of Tenet Healthcare’s Pacific Coast Network. This acquisition includes four hospitals in Southern California along with their outpatient locations. The purchase was completed for $975 million.

The four medical centers formerly owned by Tenet in Southern California – Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Los Alamitos Medical Center, and Placentia-Linda Hospital – are now part of UCI Health. This transition was confirmed in a news release from UCI Health that was issued on March 26.

This addition marks a significant expansion for UCI Health as they continue to grow and enhance their healthcare services in the region. With the new hospitals, UCI Health now boasts a total of 858 inpatient beds. The four hospitals bring with them a wealth of expertise and resources that will help UCI Health provide even better care to their patients.

“We are excited to welcome these new hospitals to our team,” said Dr. Chancellor George Mosier, CEO of UCI Health. “This acquisition allows us to expand our services and provide even more comprehensive care to our patients in Southern California.”

The four hospitals were acquired at different times over the past few years by Tenet, but they have always been highly respected institutions in the region. They will bring with them a wealth of experience and resources that will help UCI Health continue to grow and thrive.

“We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues at these hospitals,” said Dr. Mosier. “Together, we can provide the best possible care to our patients and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of people throughout Southern California.”
